How to use insoles?
In general, the best way to use insoles is to replace the insert that comes with a shoe with the new insole. This helps prevent the wearer from overcorrecting any issues that may already be partially corrected by the shoe itself. Also, many insoles will not fit inside a shoe with a factory insert already inside. Depending on the type of insert purchased, the use may differ. A heel mat can provide shock absorption to a shoe without room for a large insole and can be worn directly inside the shoe without the removal of an existing insert. A full-sized insole should be trimmed down to fit properly inside a shoe to provide support beneath the entire foot. Regardless of the type of insole used, it is important to ensure that the insole fits correctly inside the shoe.
